Alginates are minimally processed, water-soluble hydrocolloids from brown seaweed. J. Rettenmaier USA offers sodium, calcium and potassium alginate options.
VIVAPUR Alginate FD 175 is an EU approved food additive which complies with the specifications according to Reg. (EU) No. 231/2012 and Food Chemical Codex. For an EU usage please consider food categories and where required maximum levels listed in Reg. (EC) No 1333/2008. We recommend the description "Sodium alginate (E 401)".
